I entered the Weizmann Safecracking Tournament 2022 through school in a team of three. The aim of this competition was to build a puzzle-box style safe that required interesting physics principles to be used for it to be solved.
Our safe was called "Smoke and Mirrors" because it was themed around principles of light and illusions. There were lots of mirrors on the safe, and there were going to be ultrasonic water atomizers for the "smoke" until we discovered that some of the electronics were humidity-sensitive.
The Showcase video is a short film about the final safe. The Explanation was made before the safe was complete and details the science and engineering that went into making the safe function.
